OST Funding Landscape

Afterschool and summer programming are funded through a variety of local, state, and federal funding streams. Most are competitive requests for proposals processes that occur in 3 or 5 year funding cycles. See a chart of child care/school-age care funding.

GRASA assists organizations who are looking for OST funds through the following:

• Sharing announcements of funding opportunities and their requirements

• Providing technical assistance to those applying for funds for our community

• Coordinating OST partnership opportunities between community-based partners and interested schools

• Supporting coordination and signing of partnership agreements, where needed

• Linking interested providers who offer specialized OST programming with applying organizations (eg STEM, arts, literacy, scouting, etc)
